Checking and adjusting the basic settings
To ensure safe use, the basic settings of the saw stand must be checked and adjusted as necessary after intensive use. Experience and suitable special tools are required for this.
- To do so, remove the power tool with the holder sets.
Adjusting the support locking mechanism (see figure L)
The locking mechanism (9) for the support (8) can loosen over time.
- Close the locking mechanism (9).
- Push a slotted screwdriver between the saw stand and nut (27).
- Turn the locking mechanism clockwise until the lever for the locking mechanism can be firmly closed again.
- Remove the slotted screwdriver and check the adjustment again.
Adjusting the lock bolts for the wheel locking mechanism (see figures M1–M2)
Checking
- Bring the saw stand into the work position (fully pulled apart).
Both lock bolts (20) must be completely extended and there must be no gap between the lock bolts and stop plate (21).
Adjusting
- Loosen the nuts (28) (16 mm) on each side of the base unit by a quarter-turn.
- Tighten the adjusting screw (29) on the side where a gap appears between the lock bolts and stop plate. If this does not close the gap, the adjusting screw on the other side must be loosened.
- Repeat this process until both lock bolts are completely extended again and there is no gap between the lock bolts and stop plate.
- Re-tighten the nuts (28).
