Adjusting the mitre/bevel angle

To ensure precise cuts, the basic settings of the power tool must be checked and adjusted as necessary after intensive use (see "Checking and adjusting the basic settings").

Always tighten the locking knob (25) firmly before sawing. Otherwise the saw blade can become wedged in the workpiece.

For quick and precise adjustment of commonly used mitre angles, detents (27) are provided on the saw table:

45°; 31.6°; 22.5°; 15°

15°; 22.5°; 31.6°; 45°

  • Loosen the locking knob (25) if it is tightened.
  • Pull the lever (26) and rotate the saw table (22) left or right to the required detent.
  • Release the lever again. The lever must be felt to engage in the detent.

The mitre angle can be set between 48° (left side) and 48° (right side).

  • Loosen the locking knob (25) if it is tightened.
  • Pull the lever (26) and at the same time press the locking clamp (45) until this clicks into the slot provided for it. This means the saw table can now move freely.
  • Turn the saw table (22) left or right by the locking knob and use the fine scale (46) to set the required mitre angle.
  • Retighten the locking knob (25).

With the fine scale (46) you can adjust the mitre angle with an accuracy of up to ¼°.

Example: To set a mitre/bevel angle of 40.5°, you must align the ½° mark on the fine scale (46) with the 42° mark on the scale (23).

For quick and precise adjustment of frequently used mitre/bevel angles, stops have been provided for the angles 0°, 45° and 33.9°.

  • Pull the adjustable fence (31) all the way out.
  • Loosen the clamping handle (37).
  • Standard angle 0° and 45°:
Swivel the tool arm by the handle (18) as far as it will go to the right (0°) or as far as it will go to the left (45°) .
  • Standard angle 33.9°:
Press the stop pins (33) fully in. Then, swivel the tool arm by the handle (18) until the pin lies on the stop screw (32).
  • Retighten the clamping handle (37).

The bevel angle can be set between –2° and +47°.

  • Pull the adjustable fence (31) all the way out.
  • Loosen the clamping handle (37).
  • Use the handle (18) to swivel the tool arm until the angle indicator (47) shows the required bevel angle.
  • Hold the tool arm in this position and retighten the clamping handle (37).
