Work preparation
Setting the Saw Blade Height (see figure B)
To ensure safe working, you must set the correct work position for the saw blade (7) in relation to the workpiece. The maximum workpiece height is 51 mm.
- Loosen both clamping levers (68) under the saw table (59).
- Swivel the protective guard (63) backwards as far as it will go and place your workpiece next to the saw blade.
- Push the saw table down or pull it up until the upper saw teeth are approximately 1 mm above the surface of the workpiece.
- Hold the saw table in this position and retighten the clamping lever.
Adjusting the Parallel Guide (see figure C)
The parallel guide (61) can be positioned on the right of the saw blade. The spacing indicator (69) shows on the scale (65) the distance between the parallel guide and the saw blade.
- Loosen the clamping handle (64).
This lightens the load on the guide (71) at the back of the parallel guide. - First insert the parallel guide into the guide groove of the saw table.
- Then, position the parallel guide in the front guide groove on the saw table. The parallel guide can now be moved freely.
- Slide it until the spacing indicator (69) indicates the required distance to the saw blade.
- To secure it in place, push the clamping handle (64) back down.
- Ensure that the parallel guide is always parallel to the saw blade or the distance of the saw blade/parallel guide is always bigger at the back. Otherwise there is the danger that the workpiece will be clamped between the saw blade and the parallel guide.
