Notes on Sawing in a Fixed Position
- Remove the battery from the power tool before carrying out work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, changing tool, etc.). The battery should also be removed for transport and storage. There is risk of injury from unintentionally pressing the on/off switch.
- Lock the tool arm for all work on the saw table or power tool.
The locking button (30) can be used to lock the tool arm (25) of the saw table. There are two locking positions:
- The tool arm should be locked in the lower position when fitting the power tool on the saw table and for safely transporting the saw table with the power tool fitted.
- Before and after sawing, the tool arm should be locked in the upper position in order to securely clamp or remove the workpiece.
Locking in the Lower Position:
- If the tool arm (25) is in the upper locking position, gently push the tool arm (25) or the auxiliary handle (2) of the fitted power tool upwards in order to release the locking button (30). Then pull the locking button (30) out and hold it in this position.
- Slowly push the tool arm (25) or the auxiliary handle (2) all the way down. Turn the pin of the locking button to the right into the small gap (position ). The tool arm is locked in the lower position.
Locking in the Upper Position:
- If the tool arm (25) is in the lower locking position, pull the locking button (30) out and hold it in this position. Slowly push the auxiliary handle (2) all the way up. Turn the pin of the locking button to the left into the large gap (position ). The tool arm is locked in the upper position.
- Clamp the workpiece.
- To saw, gently push the auxiliary handle (2) of the fitted power tool upwards in order to release the locking button (30). Then pull out the locking button (30) without turning it. Slowly push the auxiliary handle (2) downwards and release the locking button, such that the pin of the locking button is positioned back in the large gap.
- After sawing, slowly push the auxiliary handle (2) all the way up. The tool arm (25) will engage in the upper position and you can remove the workpiece.
The angle guide (39) can be set to 45° for mitre/bevel cuts.
Loosen the screws (43) of the angle guide using the hex key (40) for the saw table.
Set the required mitre/bevel angle using the scale (38).
Depending on the width of the workpiece, you can also move the angle guide forwards or backwards in its guide.
Retighten the screws (43) of the angle guide.
To ensure safe work, you must always firmly clamp the workpiece into place. Do not saw workpieces that are too small to clamp.
Support the free end of long workpieces.
To clamp the workpiece, place it against the angle guide (39). Slide the clamping spindle (37) against the workpiece, fold down the quick-action clamp (35) and turn the clamping spindle firmly against the workpiece using the spindle handle (36).
To remove the workpiece, loosen the spindle handle (36), fold the quick-action clamp (35) upwards and pull the clamping spindle (37) out of the workpiece.
The material stop (33) makes it easier to saw workpieces to the same length.
Screw the guide rail (31) of the material stop as far as it will go into the side internal thread on the saw table. Tighten the nut with a suitable open-ended spanner.
Push the material stop (33) to the required length and tighten the clamping screw (32) of the material stop.
You can use the adjusting plate (42) to adjust the spring damping of the tool arm (25) in three settings:
- Position (a): Hard damping for controlled work movements
- Position (b): Moderate damping
- Position (c): Soft damping for fast cuts
Pull the release button (41) out of the spring damping and turn the adjusting plate (42) such that the pin of the adjusting plate clicks into the required position on the saw table.
