Inserting/replacing the bandsaw blade

Swivel the pre-tension lever (14) as far as it will go in the direction. Release the two locking clips (10) and lift up the cover (17).
For freehand operation (with the exception of sawing close to walls) and when used in a fixed position, guide the bandsaw blade (13) bit by bit into the saw blade guides (19) (see figure C). The rear end of the saw blade must touch the bearings in the bottom part of the saw blade guides (19).
For sawing close to walls, position the bandsaw blade (13) in front of the saw blade guides for sawing close to walls (20) (see figure D).
Then guide the bandsaw blade (13) bit by bit around the two rollers (18).
To tension the bandsaw blade (13), swivel the pre-tension lever (14) in the direction as far as it will go. Check whether the bandsaw blade (13) is running correctly around both rollers (18).
Close the cover (17) and lock it with the locking clips (10).
- Check that the bandsaw blade (13) is seated correctly. Briefly switch the power tool on and off several times. If the bandsaw blade is not mounted correctly, it can come undone and injure you.
