Working Advice

Routing Direction and Routing Process (see figure C)

To rout with the plunge base (2), proceed as follows:

  • Set the required routing depth as described in the "Setting the Routing Depth" section.
  • Place the power tool with a fitted router bit onto the workpiece you want to machine and switch on the power tool.
  • Push the release lever for the plunge action (12) backwards and slowly guide the edge router down until the set routing depth has been reached. Let go of the release lever (12) again in order to lock the plunging depth.
  • Carry out the routing process with a uniform feed.
  • When routing is complete, move the edge router back to the uppermost position.
  • Switch the power tool off.

Readjusting the Clamping Lever (see figure D)

When the drive unit (1) is no longer secure in the plunge base, the tensioning force of the clamping lever (13) must be readjusted.

  • Open the clamping lever.
  • Turn the nut approx. 45° clockwise with an open-ended spanner (8 mm).
  • Lock the clamping lever again.
  • Check that the drive unit is clamped securely. Do not over-tighten the nut.
