Working Advice

Select a suitable sawing position for your workpiece, so that as many teeth as possible of the bandsaw blade (13) are in the cut (see figure T).

Work with moderate pressure and uniform feed.

  • Hold the power tool firmly with both hands and make sure you have a stable footing. The power tool can be more securely guided with both hands.

For freehand cutting, pull the guide (12) out as far as required.

Switch on the power tool and wait for the motor to reach the required speed. Place the power tool onto the workpiece using the guide (12) and slowly lower the bandsaw blade (13) into the workpiece (see figure U).

Sawing Close to Walls (see figure V):
When sawing close to walls, the bandsaw blade must be positioned to the side of the saw blade guides (20). The guide (12) must be pushed back as far as it will go.
Switch on the power tool and wait for the motor to reach the required speed. Place the power tool with the two guide plates (11) flush against the wall. Slowly lower the bandsaw blade (13) into the workpiece.

Reduce the pressure just before ending the cut and slightly raise the power tool, so that it does not fall on the workpiece.

  • Do not stand in line with the saw blade in front of the power tool. Always stand to the side of the saw blade. Slowly lower the power tool into the cut with one hand on the auxiliary handle. This protects your body against possible kickback.

When sawing in a fixed position, the guide (12) must be pushed back as far as it will go.

Switch on the power tool and wait for the motor to reach the required speed. Unlock the locking mechanism of the tool arm (25) see Locking/Loosening the Tool Arm (see figure M). Push the auxiliary handle (2) down and slowly lower the bandsaw blade (13) into the workpiece.

After finishing the cut, switch off the power tool and wait until the bandsaw blade (13) has come to a complete stop. Push the power tool so that the auxiliary handle (2) faces upward.

Regularly check the height of the bandsaw blade (13) on the roller (18). The distance between the bandsaw blade and the upper edge of the roller must not exceed 3 mm. If the distance is larger than this, the blade tracking must be readjusted:

  1. Loosen the locking nut for the blade tracking (22) anticlockwise using the socket spanner (23).
  2. Turn the screw for adjusting the blade tracking (24) by one rotation using a commercially available cross-headed screwdriver:
To lower the bandsaw blade(13) , turn the screw (24) clockwise.
To raise the bandsaw blade (13), turn the screw (24) anticlockwise.
  3. To preselect the blade speed, set the thumbwheel (5) to setting 1.
  4. Insert a rechargeable battery (4).
  5. Switch on the power tool and allow the bandsaw blade (13) to run for one rotation.
  6. Switch the power tool off and remove the rechargeable battery (4).
  7. Check the height of the bandsaw blade (13) on the roller (18). If necessary, repeat steps 2 to 5 until the distance between the bandsaw blade and the upper edge of the roller is under 3 mm.
  8. Retighten the locking nut for the blade tracking (22) clockwise using the socket spanner (23).

Note: The screw for adjusting the blade tracking (24) only changes the height of the roller being driven (18). This enables the entire track of the bandsaw blade (13) to be adjusted.

Your power tool is equipped with a hanging hook (15) to hang it from when it is switched off. To prevent injuries and damage, only hang the power tool using a stable and suitable means of attachment.

  • When the power tool is hung up, take care that the saw blade is protected from accidental contact. This poses a risk of injury.

If the power tool is fitted on the saw table, remove the battery (4) from the power tool before transporting it.

Lock the tool arm (25) in the lower position  see Locking/Loosening the Tool Arm (see figure M). Hold the saw table by the spindle handle (36) and remove it using the transport wheels (28).

If you do not use the power tool over an extended period of time, release the pre-tensioning of the bandsaw blade (13) to extend the service life of the bandsaw blade. To do this, swivel the pre-tension lever (14) as far as it will go in the  direction.

Before recommissioning the power tool, swivel the pre-tension lever (14) as far as it will go in the  direction in order to tension the bandsaw blade (13). Check whether the bandsaw blade (13) is correctly running in the saw blade guides (19) and around the rollers (18).
